National Heat & Power Corp. is known and recognized as an industry leader, consistently ranking among the top ten mechanical contractors in annual volume in the greater Chicagoland area. We have successfully completed over 5,000 HVAC & Plumbing installations. National Heat & Power has also completed work on over 40 hospitals and medical facilities in the area. Over the years, we have installed equipment manufactured by virtually every major manufacturer in the industry.

After the company was founded in 1957, National Heat & Power worked with Peoples Gas Company & Northern Illinois Gas Company to install natural gas engines to power and drive open refrigeration compressors. We installed three 700 HP Bigelow Boilers, each with 3,800 square feet of heating surface at Senn High School in Chicago. At the time of installation these were the largest of this type of boiler installed in the area.

Throughout the 60's and 70's the company continued to grow and expand. We worked on high rise projects such as Marina City, Kennelly Square, and Astor Tower. National Heat & Power also was working with hospitals, medical facilities, large industrial buildings, and commercial projects such as Woodfield Mall.

In 1985, we were ranked among the top ten in the nation for Cleaver-Brooks Boiler installations. We also were awarded the Ashrae Illinois Chapter Energy Achievement Award for a design-build project in the category of "new commercial multi-use building", utilizing boilers, chillers, and compressed air.

Throughout the 1990's and into the new millennium National Heat & Power installed a 750-ton and 700-ton chiller at Sharp Electronics; two 600-ton chillers at Newberry Plaza; a 500-ton steam absorption chiller at Highland Park Hospital; a 350-ton modular chiller plant at Resurrection Hospital; two 350-ton chillers at 1000 Lake Shore Dr, and an 800-ton chiller at St. Francis Hospital.
